Warner Music Headquarters Recording Studio

Pianoz.com was honoured to be chosen to supply a Steinway grand piano for the private recording facilities at Warner Music's headquarters, known as The Firepit. Located within Warner's London offices, The Firepit serves as an exclusive creative space where some of the world's biggest recording artists, songwriters and producers can collaborate, rehearse and record in complete privacy. Given the calibre of musicians using the facility, selecting the right piano was a decision that could not be rushed, and we were delighted to assist Warner Music throughout the process.

The Warner team made several visits to our showroom, spending time comparing a range of Steinway grand pianos to find the instrument that best suited the studio's requirements. Every piano has its own unique personality, and factors such as tonal character, touch, projection and recording qualities were carefully evaluated. Over multiple appointments, the team played and listened to numerous instruments, gradually narrowing the field until they found a Steinway that delivered exactly the balance of warmth, clarity and responsiveness they were seeking. It was a fascinating process and a reminder that choosing a piano for a professional recording environment is about far more than simply selecting a prestigious brand.

Following the final selection, the piano was prepared by our technicians and delivered to Warner Music's headquarters, where it became a permanent fixture within The Firepit studio. Since then, the instrument has been available for use by Warner's roster of artists during writing sessions, rehearsals and private recordings.
